Dear friend of the performing arts, It is with a great deal of enthusiasm that we are unveiling the activities scheduled for participants in the 31st Plenary Meeting of the IETM, the International Network for the Performing Arts, which will be held for the first time in North America, in Montreal, from May 30 to June 3, 2007. Under the main theme of Cultural Warming, the subjects on the program are highly topical and go straight to the heart of the concerns and passions of the contemporary performing arts milieu. The choice of subjects is the result of consultations across Canada as well as the close collaboration between the Canadian organizers and the IETM secretariat in Brussels, and reflect questions raised by IETM members. CLICK HERE to read a short description of each activity and to see the preliminary schedule (or go to www.ietm.org in the Meetings Section/Montreal/day to day program). You wish to propose something during the brainstorming sessions? Click here ! The deadline for registering at IETM Montréal 2007 has been extended to April 27, 2007, after which a supplementary fee will apply. REMINDER OF IMPORTANT DEADLINES To put the Cultural Warming theme into perspective and to provide matter for reflection on this subject, artists Olivier Kemeid, John Mighton, and Marie Clements have published their personal viewpoints, on: www.ietmmontreal2007.org. Take time to read them! Associations and networks: please circulate this information to your member organizations in your newsletters and websites. Your collaboration is precious to spread the word! Hoping to see you in Montreal! The IETM Secretariat The Organizing Committee of IETM Montréal 2007 |
